Banking Information & Preauthorization

Life today is busy, and that has never been more true than a small business owner!

As your business partner, we always want to make sure that your invoices are up to date and current, and that we make it as hassle free as possible.  Therefore, we can arrange for our invoices to be direct debited from your bank account.

Why do we do this?

The answer is simple. It protects both parties.

As your business partner, we want to make sure that your business is always up to date.  If your payments to us fall behind, then you start avoiding our phone calls!  That is crucial when we are calling to tell you that you have a deadline to meet or that there is a problem with administering your business on your behalf!

For us, it protects us from clients that do not have the potential to pay.  That is also important, as we would hate to enforce a rule to cover "the masses", when really it is only a client or two that there may be issues with.

Remember that we understand

We completely understand that your business will have cash highs and lows, and we are completely willing to work within your parameters.  We only work for small business.  And every small business (including us) has times of the month or year that they are cash strapped.

How does direct debit work?

Direct debit is easy.  You give us your banking information, and sign the attached form.  We issue an invoice to you, and we give you a date (10 - 14 days in advance) of when the payments will come out of your bank account.

If there are issues with the payments, just give us 3 business days to accomodate and adjust, and we can make alternate payment arrangments.

On our forms, you specify the dollar figure that is comfortable for you to have withdrawn, and the time period that you are allowing.

If you wish to stop doing direct debit, you simply have to notify us in writing.  It is that easy.

How can you trust us?

Simple.  We have signed an agreement with our bank (Bank of Montreal) that we will abide by the rules, and that we will not use our debit privelages in a way that is against the client agreement.

We are not willing to sacrafice our agreement with BMO. It is really that simple and easy.  If we do something not in accordance with our agreement, we could lose our privelages, and that is not a risk we are willing to take.
